In this 'Speaking From Experience' video clip, participants share their stories of living with a permanent colostomy. Most people who have surgery for bowel cancer will not need a colostomy. Some patients will need a temporary colostomy after the operation, while others will need a permanent colostomy if the cancer is low in the bowel.
